**The 12-year-old Sophia Walker won the Swiss Junior Cup Final in Oberkirch on 25 April 2026 with her regional team RZO in the 12-year-old age group.
In the 100-metre breaststroke, Sophia Walker improved to 1:16.01 minutes, earning 552 FINA points. This time was the fastest performance in her age group. She also improved in the 100-metre freestyle: with 1:04.92 minutes and 454 FINA points, she placed fourth in the individual ranking of her age group. Both races were personal bests for the young swimmer.
In addition to Sophia Walker, other athletes also delivered strong performances. Across the various age groups, several swimmers reached the podium again for the first time in a while. The event offered exciting races and pleasing results across all age categories.
The regional team RZO, for which Sophia Walker competed, prevailed against all other regional teams in Switzerland in the team competition. With the win in the 12-year-old girls' age group, the team secured first place and relegated the competition from the other regions to the remaining ranks. Overall, it was a successful day for the entire team.
